The DIY DAY is a new, accessible tech festival at Unmanned Valley, where drones, robots, smart technology, and creativity come together. The event is aimed at students, hobbyists, startups, and businesses who want to build, test, and experiment themselves.

DIY stands for Do It Yourself, meaning that visitors are not just spectators but actively participate through workshops, competitions (such as FPV drone races and RC cars), and hands-on demonstrations. Drones were built, programmed, and of course, flown. In addition to many drone demonstrations and VR drone simulations, there was an FPV Dutch Drone Race in the hangar! This race was also live-streamed in another area. There was a lot of interest in building racing cars with Lego, water rockets, RC planes, and a 'drone of the future' drawing competition. And there was a robot dog roaming around that you could control.

The DIY Day was a fantastic festival and a great success. More than 450 enthusiastic people visited Unmanned Valley and all the fun activities available. Next year there will be another DIY festival!
